How come Nickelodeon influences gayness??

Gays exist and need to start being accepted by our society. Why not? What legitimate reasons are their for not accepting gays? Whatever reasons you give could easily defend racism too. So what do you do? Accept people for who and what they are. Maybe Nickelodeon wants to start with the young ones so that the new generation won't be so prejudice and judgmental.
