Canada beat the Russians 7-3 obviously in regulation, Slovaks only beat them 2-1 in a Shootout. Slovaks also only beat the Norwiegians 4-3 ( Norway played amazing) Canada crushed them 8-0. So what do you think will happen and what will be the score, I say 6-2 or 6-3 Canada, if its (6-3 one will be empty net) , and the Slovakians only had 14 shots against the Swedes but scored 4 times (could of been Lunquivst's fault). The Americans haven't played the Fins nor have they played anyones the Fins have. The Fins are the oldest teams in the tourney with an average age of 30.7 and the U.S is the youngest with the average age of 26.6. The Fins have a slow defense (Sami Salo the worst) but the Americans really only have a Goalie in Ryan Miller. Speed should help the U.S win but expiernce could help Finland, with Saku Koivu and Temmu Selanne and 3 amazing goalies with Mikka Kiprusoff the best and most likley to get the start. Also the Fins have young guns such as Mikko Koivu (26 turning 27 in March) and Tuomo Ruutu who turned 27 on the 16th, and Valteri Fippula (26 in March) and a great puck handlers like Nik Hagman, and Olli Jokinen.

I am currently taking the Kirkland (Costco) fish oils. i think Costco just find some other manufacture to make the fish oil and puts their own label on it. hi, i was wondering if anybody would have some insight because i am at a loss it seems. my mother who has been a constant all my life has been, for about 2 years now, drinking and has done a good job at hiding it. lately it has gotten worse. ie: falling down stairs, ping/blacking out... i now have a 4 month old daughter and my mother made my pregnancy miserable. calling us to start fights, getting me riled up any way she could. i almost felt at one time i was going to lose the baby she hurt me so badly. my mother and i have always had an otherwise wonderful relationship. well, as of late, i have cut off contact with her for my sanity. i don't want my young daughter around a drunk. my father works long hours and just doesn't, i don't feel, know what to do. if he did, he'd get her into some kind of rehabilitation program. it's not like they don't have the money to do it. he works alot and i think has been turning a blind eye. this is killing me and i am not sure what my next move is. i know my mother will not get help because "she just can't leave her house" for the cold hospital setting. i know that is a cop out... i heard from my sister that she wants to invite us to dinner a few weeks from now. i can't help but think that it will just be another "brain washing" session, making us think she's "ok" and that "things are alright because she is a functioning alcoholic." i am so hurt by all of this. i love her and hate that i am utilizing tough love... any insight would be appreciated. please, serious answers only.

Help! The smallest kid at school beat me in a race!!!?

OMGOMGOMG... YOU HAVE TO EXPLAIN THIS IMPOSSIBLE SCENE... I am kinda a couch potato that plays halo 3 all day. But a lest I play 2 hours of basketball ever weekend! But I am no fatty because I just am not, and I am extremely big and strong! I'm 13 years old, 5 feet 7 inches and 156 pounds. Even through I'm not that good at running, I still am so so! But... the problem is... a really small kid came to my school last week... He told everyone he was very fast and bragged about it.... He said he would show his true speed to anyone who wanted to race him... Even through I'm not that good at running, that kid is tiny!!! He's 4 feet 5 inches, 67 pounds, and the rest about him I don't know. So after my challenge was accepted we lined up at the start of the race during PE free time. The race was for 1 mile. At first I took off at a moderate speed and kept up with him... Than towards the middle we traded leading positions randomly... This continued until the middle of the 3rd lap................. Than I started to get some burn in my legs and got very tired. I thought he would have gotten tired too since he's so small!!! Than I slowly slowed down as my energy depleted. As I started jogging weakly he continued at the same speed and the same force!!! Omg he continued and by the time he reached the finish line I was too weak to even walk!!! OMGOMGOMG... how could this happen!!!! He's this small, he appears cute, his legs are smaller than my Xbox 360, and like everything is defining the laws of movement!!! Omg I'm not that bad at running!!! OMG... All the fast kids tried to race him and they all lost even through they run everyday! He told us the only sport he plays was soccer!!! Explain now!!!!!

Why do family members turn on one another?

I had a younger sister about 15 years ago left her family destitute. Our mother died from cancer. We tried living together only for financial reasons. However, one day, she never returned home. She turned her back on us, basically, calling me every name imaginable. She took some of my belongings and promised to give me $20 for the items. The $20 was to turn on our heat for the winter. We owed money to the gas company and they said if we paid the back bill they would do it for us. We found out that she stopped paying the heating bill and her part of rent. I went to her friend's home to get the money. She lied about the money, but threatened to call the police on me for taking her shoes. I left the shoes and walked through a foot of snow and drove home barefoot. We didn't have heat on when it was 10 degrees outside in a trailer. We basically we freezing to death. My aunt finally told us to stay with her until we got the money for the bill. A few years later, she came to us begging us to forgive her. We made amends, but I still didn't trust her. Why do people empathize with Self Harmers but not drug addicts?

I mean alcoholics here too. I notice people are empathetic to people with depression that cut themselves. I used to be that person and i know why i cut now. It got me high for a second and made all the pain of my life and misery go away. Drug addicts use drugs for the same reason. They are both using something harmful to take away a horrible unbearable feeling. They both lack control of themselves and their behavior. I used to feel so terrible when i was a teenager, i'd rather die than go through that again. Well, below is a website that I help that works but the only thing I would say is that for Helicopter you need good eye sight and yes, the Army Will show you how to fly. I am currently in the National Guard and on the seconded website below is a list of the MOS that you can research. Both of the websites are good. I do not know the Army website for MOS but they should be the same. The MOS you choose will depend on where your Basic Training and AIT will be held at. You can also check to see how long is the AIT on the national guard website along with a short video explaining it. Just do your research, when I was choosing one, I did a lot of research and always have some other ones in mind cause sometimes there may not be any avaliable for the one you want so always have a 2nd choice or 3rd choice. And it's right, you do need a support network of friends and they need to be real friends (friends who will stick with you no matter what) but you need to be a part of that network. Start by talking to the friends about how you are feeling. If they are true friends they will stick by you. But you need to keep up your end and listen to problems that your friends are having. I'm schizophrenic and I manage to have friends and I did have a boyfriend until a few days ago (I broke up not because of the schizophrenia but because we had nothing in common!) so there is hope for you! You just need to be honest and open about things and people will realise why you are feeling so miserable. Being honest and open will also show how many real friends you have! Sure enough, when my boss became reachable by phone, I got through to him and he was so relieved to hear that I'd handled this in his absence and not let a good employee just walk away. He gave me the biggest hug and said I know I never have to worry when I'm gone because you won't let anything happen. I felt ten feet tall, and better yet, I got to work with a great guy in the new pr person and we've been friends ever since. 8.5 month old wont drink her formula anymore!?!?

I ran out of formula the day before yesterday. my husband had the car at work so i had no way to get top the store to get more. So i gave her deluted whole milk. 4 ounces for milk and 4 of water. At Skylin's 6 month check up my Pedi said i couldnt give her whole milk until 10 months but this was an emergency or i wouldnt have. She has been on solids since she was 4 months and has had foods with milk cooked into them so i umed the two bottle i gave her would be okay until i got formula. Well she had decided she doesnt want the formula anymore. i have tried to give her 8 or9 bottles of formula and she wont take it. she takes a sip says UCK!! and throws it down then starts crying. icalled the pedi and she told me at 8.5 months if it was all she will drink then she would recommend just switching to whole milk early but i had always heard it wasnt good for babies to drink it soo young. i was just wondering if any other moms out there switched to whole milk early and if it had any negative effects on their child.

Wow! I have been there and done that. Its not easy to take care of some one else kids that are misbehaving. What I did was tell the mother that I was going to look else where for work as in outside the home. Give her time to find someone else or maybe help her find another neighbor. OR.....you can be honest with her about the behavior of her children and explain that your home has rules and boundaries. Try working with her..... but if you are really NOT liking this at all, just tell her you are going to stop the sitting because of the friction it brings into the house. I know you need the money (I did too) but I didn't need the money bad enough to be in turmoil all the time. Sometimes honesty is the best policy. ( she could be one of those neighbors that depends on neighbors too much)

BPM of 42 and fluttering feeling in the chest, should i be concerned?

Prior to this, i have had visits to the doctor concerning my heart. I was diagnosed to bulemia nervosa (no need to tell my how horrible it is, I am completely aware and going through treatment currently). He was concerned qbout my BPM because due to lack of nutrients and the strain of purging, my heart beat per minute was around 52. I usually monitor my BPM daily. I was laying in bed and begun feeling fluttering in my chest. No pain, just a consant very severe feeling of fluttering which is extremely uncomfortable. I took my BPM being that i knew it was an issue and it was 42 and i noticed when i put my hand to my chest i could feel my heart beating very strongly. I'm not a conditioned athlete or anything and this has happened before, but not this severely. Can anyone tell me what's going on and if there's anything i can do to relieve it? Thanks so much. xx

maybe you have some type of prevailing wages case where you should be paid in accordance with the going rate for the work which you are performing. I know this works in different situations, but you might want to look more into it. Also, if you know in advance of conversations regarding increase in pay in exchange for certain work you should perhaps record the conversation as long as you are directly involved in the conversation (otherwise it could be deemed inadmissible and potentially criminal in some states). I would research for cases in both federal and state court dealing with workers' rights and wages as well as job titles and how wages are set. You could also check state and federal workers' comp claims before administrative judges and see if you find anything there to help. But it sounds like you have something I just don't mess with employment law too much at least in this regard. good luck and stick it to them as they have you.

i can suggest you many things to try and to think about. put your plant in a bathroom where it can get some periodic humidity, use a spray bottle of water to spray the leaves daily which should get rid of the bugs, or put the plant in a terrarium. that will help conserve water and keep the plant warmer than the air throughout the year. many plants become dormant in the winter by the way. i'm not real sure about 'direct sunlight' on your particular orchid but since these are normally parasitic plants and they thrive off of others, it would seem that they are best in shade or minimal sunlight. your plant may be dieing in the root system, ie root rot or there's a fungus or bacteria that might also be attractive to the tiny bugs. you might clean off the roots and place it in a new clean soil and wash away the bugs before placing the plant in a new soil/pot/terrarium. good luck

How can I get my mom to ease up?

I'm 18 years old and I'm a full time college student at a university that's 4 hours away from home. I love my parents and, in my opinion, I've always had a good relationship with them. My dad seems to have no problem accepting that I've grown up. However, my mom seems to believe that I should be around her constantly. She gets angry every time I leave to go spend time with my boyfriend (whom I've been with for 19 months) or my friends. I'll admit, I was a bit of a homebody until I was about 16. I went to friends' houses on the weekends and that was about it. But then I got a job, a car, and a boyfriend pretty much all at the same time. Ever since, my mom guilt trips me all the time about how she never sees me (even though she does). She cries when I leave the house and acts like I don't love her. She tells me I don't call her enough, but I don't really call anyone very much, not even my boyfriend. I just don't like talking on the phone much. Every time I go to my boyfriend's house or go with one of my friends, she slides in some comment about me not loving her. It really makes me angry. I don't like being accused of not loving my mother, because I do. It happens all the time, and we'll get in an argument over it every once in a while. So she'll say something like, "We used to have such a good relationship but now we always fight." No we don't. She expects us to never argue, which is impossible and when we do, she seems to forget about all the time I DO spend with her and how well we DO get along. I just want my mom to accept that the older I get,the less dependent I'll be on her, but she never listens to me. :/

Why are a lot of people seem to have jeans/denim ?

Okay. I know this is a very common that people have. But I just know that by experience. I don't know exactly why but I mean, jeans/denim are just a normal clothing garment. Anyway, this is what happened to me. Since its summer time, I went to the beach, just a few days ago, to spend some time swimming and hanging out with my family on a hot weekend. Since we spend most of the time swimming with our surf boards and just frolicking in the waves, I was wearing a black bikini. But as soon as I got out of the water, I just put on my low-rise jeans and just left on my bikini top on, and was still wet. As I ped by a group of guys, they whistled at me and one of them even had the courage to tell me how y and hot I looked. Why are so many "global" people liberal whilst so many "domestic" people lean right?

What I am referring to is the population I meet here in a very diverse city. Most of the people I know who speak several languages, have studied/lived abroad, travelled widely and have many international friends, tend to be of a more liberal bent politically, whereas most of the people I know who have never been outside The United States, don't speak other languages besides English and ociate mainly with their own race, creed and color, tend to be very patriotic, very proud of America and rather disparaging of other societies. Why is this? Wouldn't it follow that these "cosmopolitans," having lived abroad would have a great appreciation for the opportunities and freedoms in America, whereas those who don't venture outside America might fantasize that there's something better out there?

Disc protrusions and neural c narrowing - what can this mean?

Disk protrusions are also called herniated disks or ruptured disks. The disks are filled with a jello like material that spills out into the surrounding area. I ume you are having pain that warranted the scans. Narrowing of the c means the disks are pushing on the c that houses the spinal nerves. How it happens is all sorts of ways - overuse, heavy lifting, accidents, falls, genetics, hereditary. It is fairly common. I have them as well. What is means for you depends on the extent of the protrusions. You could get into an area where the disk bulges so much that it compresses the nerves around it. What you want to watch out for is numbness and weakness in your legs and feet - if a disk bulges too much it can completely compress those nerves and render you unable to walk at all. As far as surgery goes, that is a much debated issue. I would avoid it if you can for as long as you can. They have an official diagnosis for back surgery that fails "failed back syndrome;" that is how often it does not work. Most doctors, unless the nerve damage is severe, will try other more conservative measures before surgical ones, like epidural injections, nerve blocks, physical therapy, and medications. I would try those first before you go under the knife. Now, I am sure you are going to see a million and one answers that tell you back surgery saved their life, etc. etc. but for every one person there are 20 who it ruined theirs. I liked an answer you gave someone else. Just a quick question. I live in another country and am getting care for some undefined liver problems. The deal is, I have small grains of sand like things in my gallbladder kind of sloshing around. They have been there for about five years and I have taken no medication for them. They do not seem to get worse and do not cause me pain... except once. They have been identified by US and Gastroscopic US. It has been mildly suggested that they can take those out using a minimally invasive procedure. Does this have anything to do with a fatty liver? Can it be exacerbated by a fatty liver? Can the presence of these particles be oncogenic? Should I get those particles take out if I am having problems with fat metabolism?
