CSU Bakersfield or Bay Area Community college?

Hi. I am currently attending Clark Atlanta University. However, i am transferring because i honestly hate the school. I am between attending CSU Bakersfield and Community College. I want to major in English or Political Science, but i am undecided thus far. After taking my basic courses i want to transfer to UCLA, UC Berkley, or NYU if possible. Will i have a better chance of acceptance from CSUB or community? Is it better to take my basic courses at CC or CSUB? and if a CC, which Bay Area CC is best?
