Why do some uneducated Americans outright deny global warming without knowing any of the science behind it?

It's a socialist hoax because some fat idiot on Fox News told me so. Natural cycle, actually getting cooler, humans have no impact, etc. Scientific method be damned; I waste my life watching TV and haven't the time for such pointless skepticism. Please agree with me, everybody, and offer me more anti-intellectual, pseudoscientific talking points for me to absorb and mindlessly parrot until Jesus returns to commence Armageddon.
